Pub signs, July 2022

Volume 6, Issue 6; 09 Jul 2022

London pub signs, summer 2022 edition.

It’s been a long time since I added to my collection of pub signs. I’ve seen them most frequently in the UK and it’s been a while since I went anywhere new in the UK. (By some quite reasonable measures, it’s been a long time since I went anywhere!)

We went to London over the past few days and I collected a few more.

The Friend at Hand is near Fortitude Bakehouse where I collected our breakfast each day. Delicious nosh, good coffee, friendly staff, most highly recommended.

Most of the others I captured while dashing across a stretch of Camden. I wanted a Le Creuset cookbook (as a stand in for an actual stonking great heavy piece of Le Creuset that we planned to get as a graduation present) and that sent me dashing about a bit.

There was also The Queens Larder and The Swan next door to the hotel. Alas, my snap of The Swan was blurry and I didn’t notice.

It was lovely trip. And it sometimes felt more than a little bit weird.
