Sourdough crumpets again

This time I tried mixing a little baking soda and water into the sourdough starter. I thought it might work better if the batter was a little thinner and had some bicarb to encourage bubbles. Not much different, really. Edible, certainly, but... (More pics on photos.nwalsh.com.)
