Bagels!
I couldn’t decide which single image to add to a microblog post, so I just made this little collection of photographs instead.
I think my bagel forming skills could use some work.
They swell up a lot more than I expected!
After boiling, I dipped them in poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and a mixture of za’atar and poppy seeds.
Here they are fresh baked. My attempt to get a picture of them in the oven was unsuccessful. As was my attempt to burn myself with massive quantities of steam. Thankfully.
Mmmm, bagel!
With cream cheese and smoked salmon, of course!
I now know just how easy it is to make fresh bagels. This may become a problem.
