Ambiguity in Invisible XML Grammars
I have “finished” drafting my paper on ambiguity in Invisible XML grammars. Next stop: Balisage 2023!
My paper for Balisage 2023 is Ambiguity in iXML, and how to control it. It was a fun paper to write. I definitely learned a few things along the way. It’s also encouraged me to nail down a few remaining issues in the NineML suite of tools. The 3.0.0abc… series of betas is coming along nicely. Feedback welcome.
If you’re interested in things like Invisible XML, ambiguity, overlap, content migration, transformation, XQuery functions in XSLT, long-term infrastructure maintenance, Gottlob Frege and SVG, hyperlinking the journal literature, archive management, xml ingestion, content management systems, succession planning, grappling with legacy formats, rescuing legacy data, implications of AI for markup, markup and big-data analytics, the power of tight models, surviving your best design ideas, and the like, you should come along to Balisage starting in a couple, three short weeks.
It’s virtual, live, technical, interactive, and hands down my favorite place to hang out with the markup peeps!
