XML Resolver version 6.1.0
Published by Yes, it’s ready.
Back in January, I asked if the resolver was ready. I decided not quite, but there haven’t been that many changes since then. I had planned to publish XML Resolver 6.1.0 before Saxon 13.0 shipped, but it didn’t shake out that way.
I had other reasons to spin up the code signing machinery today, and I wanted the 6.1.0 jars to be signed, so I went ahead and called it done. (In the future, I’m hoping to sign the NuGet packages as well, but code signing on Windows is an even bigger faff than it is on Linux.)
There aren’t any significant changes since the last 6.0.x release on Java or C#.
I’ve taken the “experimental” label off of the 6.x branch. My plan is that bug fixes (should there need to be any) will appear in point releases of 6.1. If there’s any more feature development or larger changes, those will go in 6.2.x versions, which will be marked experimental. When those changes are baked, they’ll go in 6.3.0. I’m not sure the ceremony of even/odd experimental/final release numbers is really a good idea, but since I said that’s what I was going to do, that’s what I’m going to do.
